Did you know that before someone works with us, they are subconsciously asking themselves 3 questions:
- Can I trust you?
- Are you an expert?
- Do you care about me?
So how do you get them to say yes to those questions? Well, the answer is pretty simple. It is “To Build the Relationships with Them”. That’s it, that’s all you have to do!
Here are 3 tips on how to do that:
1. ADD VALUE
You can Add value is by creating content, by consistently showing that you are the expert, that you understand them, that you understand their problems and you can solve them. So you give them what they want…not what you want. Make sure you are giving them what they want to hear from you!
2. MAKE THEM FEEL THAT THEY ARE SPECIAL
You’re going to need to have face to face time. It could be coffee or lunch if they’re near you so that you connect with them 1 on 1. If they are too far away to meet in person you can do SKYPE, you can do ZOOM this is great because you can have more than 1 person on there, you can also do live streaming or videos too. Those are all great ways to have face to face time with somebody so that they feel like their actually getting to know you, actually connecting with you.
It’s very important that you make them feel connected to you, make them feel that they are engaged with you. Also acknowledging their milestones, their promotions, their birthday, anniversary or if they are having a baby. You also want to send them a handwritten card or do a phone call. Compliment them! Doing this you can make them feel that they are special and that you noticed them.
It’s also important to have a TOP 10 SYSTEM! This is made of the top 10 people that can help you grow your business. It can be the top 10 people in your database who can help you move your business forward. It can be your top 10 clients, joint venture partners, referral partners and/or prospects. Combine those together and figure out who your TOP 10 are and create a system around them. We’ll talk about this more in the future. For not, just start identifying who those people are.
3. MAKE SURE THAT YOU’RE NOT SELLING THEM
You are serving them. You really want to focus on helping them to achieve their goals. So don’t worry about reaching your goals! That’s not your main purpose when you’re talking to them, it’s reaching their goals. Because in doing so you are going to reach your goals. Just be real! Have their best interest in mind and be caring. I promise that will help you to build the relationship fast!
